Here's your Week 4 recap:
Even though I lost, a lot of good things happened for me (this is my therapy right now, I know none of you care. Feel free to scroll to your own portion of this recap). Danny Woodhead, Lamar Miller, and Dwayne Bowe look like they'll finally provide some depth for me. I'm not worried about Tavon Austin and I get Jerm Finley back this week. Still no panic here. No team is worse than 1-3 and all the 1-3 teams are only one game out of the playoffs. Plus I got the points tie break with all but one of those 2-2 teams.
See it could be worse, I could be Hemrick. Although I play Hemrick this week, and if he beats me, then boy will my face be red. Anyway, his team kinda stinks. It's one thing to be 1-3and to hold a tie break over all but one of the 2-2 teams. It's another thing to be 1-3 and have the 2nd lowest points. Not sure what Hemrick will do here. There's been no trades. Eddie Royal has already been dumped. He has no #2 QB. Wonder how much longer he'll wait to do something about this?
Scott owns the only thing worthwhile on the NY Giants, Victor Cruz:
Remember when the Giants were good? Scott's QB's, who have been amazing or a disaster fell somewhere in the middle this week. And although his running backs were shiite, Cruz and Torrey Smith made up for it. this win pulls Scott out of a tailspin and buys him another week. He gets Cobb back from bye as well this week.
Things can change quickly in the NFL and therefore in Sandwich Fest. Lacey In Your Facy is a good example. Two weeks ago Desean Jackson was unstoppable. Eddy Lacey was set to establish a new Green Bay rushing attack. Sam Bradford was finally reaching his #1 pick potential. Joique Bell was a integral part of the Lions offense. Then all of a sudden the Eagles have slowed down, Lacey got hurt and now may lose carries to Jonathan Franklin, Sam Bradford had an absolutely brutal game against a depleted Niners D at home, and Reggie Bush came back and rendered Joique Bell useless. Couple that with Stevan Ridley officially declared dead for fantasy purposes and all of a sudden you lose to a team with lowest points in all of Sandwich Fest. The good news is Le'veon Bell came back and looked good and Danny Amendola should come back soon (and no doubt get hurt again). It's by no means panic time, and they have options, but things aren't as great as they were two weeks ago.
James continues to put up pedestrian scores and win games. Four players scored under 10 points. Only two broke 20 points and somehow, a win for James. Must be nice. Must be nice. Also Eli stinks. Just look at him.

Well, at least Brown had no hope after about 2pm. There was no "maybe if this guy comes thru" or "if this guy has a shit game and this happens...". None of that. This was over quick and would've been relatively painless if not for RedZone with accompaniment from Joe Ferencz, constantly reminding Brown about all the points Joe was scoring. It was so bad that Joe, who got 63 points on Sunday night, would've won by 30 points if someone bombed Georgia Stadium and they never played the game.
Here's the one positive for Brown though:
Also, Aaron Rodgers and D'Angelo Williams were on bye. So not all hope is lost......just most hope is lost.....
Another one that was over pretty quickly. Hill takes over first place and the overall points lead in the league. Jordan Cameron is acting like his name is James Graham. His WR's are all prominent members of their offenses and so are his running backs. It looked like he was going to die by the Cut, but the Cut came through in Garbage Time to get a couple of TDs and a bunch of yards to move his point total up. Turns out even if he shit the bed, Mike wasn't winning anyway.
While his WRs were not bad, Mike's running backs are falling apart. DMC got hurt. CJ Spiller is hurt. TRich is still adjusting. And I'm not sure what happened to Andy Dalton, but that was a pretty rough game. I feel bad for Mike. It could've been me. I loved CJ Spiller this year. I was big on TRich too. I got lucky it was Jamaal Charles that fell to me. On the plus side for Mike, he's living large with Phil Rivers, and Marshall and Fitz are good when healthy. Witten also will be a big part of that offense in Dallas, especially with Austin Miles out. Also at 2-2, you have bought yourself a week or two to allow T-Rich and Spiller to come around.
Anyway, congrats to Hill on a big week and a move to the top. He and Bry are on fire, while James continues to hang on. We're a third of the way through the season. I'm expecting we'll start to see the trades pick up now.
I miss the power rankings

ReplyDeleteI don't. My fantasy team and The New York Football Giants are an absolute disaster.
