Monday Implications - Week 3

Look at your lazy commissioner.  Two weeks in a row some Monday Implications.  Suck it Trebek.  

Hemrick may have gotten lucky with his trade since VJax got hurt, but he won't get lucky enough to pull this one out.  Even if all three players get 20 points, he doesn't catch Hill who still has Welker to go.  To say Hemrick is invested in the Broncos offense is an understatement.  I just noticed this now.  And Hill, the team name?  I know mine is terrible, but are you saying you want to cum on Hemrick's face?  I mean, congrats on the win and all, but I'm not sure what you're really getting at here.

Here's a game with real implications.  Mike needs 10 points from DMC.  He should get it, which will give James his first loss.  There is some disaster potential here for Oakland though as Denver should dominate. But if Pryor just dumps it off to McFadden a couple of times, that should be enough with his 50 yards rushing to get Mike there.  If not, he might be on suicide watch, as he'd drop from 1st to 9th in the course of 4 days.

Here we go.  This is 50/50 I think.  I have no doubt Manning will get me 25-30 points.  The question is who does the throw it too?  Decker?  Julian Thomas?  Welker? Demaryus?  Will Knowshon run it in again? There's a lot of mouths to feed in Denver, but Demaryus is their big play guy.  Hopefully they hit one of their deep shots.  If not, fire sale.  For real this time.  Bry already has saved seven different lopsided trades to send me tomorrow morning.  I know it.

Monday Implications

So I slacked off on Week 1.  Big fucking deal.  It's back for Week 2.  Looks to me like 3 of the 5 match ups are still to be decided, while one technically is still alive, and one, mine sadly, is over.

Side note: the person who accused me of slacking is now late on his 2nd "Week In Review" in a row (last week never came) and his 3 Stars from Thursday gimmick.  Your glass house is now a pile of shards sir.

So of course I'll start with the game that's least likely to change.  This is an actual score from an actual Sandwich Fest game with the actual first place team after week 1.  There's a chance after this game James is 10th in points and 2-0 (I'm assuming).  In order for that to no happen, AJ Green will need to score 60 points.  Figure he'll need at least 6 TDs to get close, and even then he'd still need 12 catches for 120 yards.  I think he can do the 12 for 120.  The 6 TDs might be tough Joe.

This one is probably 2nd least likely to change.  A very close match that Brown was sweating throughout the day yesterday.  He must've thought he was done with Kaepernick still go to, but we'll get to that tomorrow.  As for tonight, Scott basically needs Roethlisberger to throw to Emmanuel Sanders only.  It's probably not too often a receiver the likes of Sanders will outscore his QB by 6 points.  However, one pick 6 by Large Benjamin and all of a sudden this becomes a game again.    It's unlikely that Scott wins, but it could happen against a good Cincy D.

This one will be interesting.  The defending champ will be praying for his first victory of the year, and holding his breath with every Andy Dalton pass.  Cincy is loaded on offense.  Green, Sanu, Bernard, Gresham and Eifert give Dalton a huge compliment of weapons and present different matchup problems for the defense.  The good think Hemrick is the Steelers D is the only part of the Steelers that might be worth a damn.  An 18 point game would be a good one for Dalton as I expect it to be tough sledding against the Steelers.  But they should have the ball plenty.  Turnovers will be the key here.

Hard to say if Hill got lucky or unlucky in this matchup, but again, we'll get to injuries and such in the recap.  Hill already asked the very hacky question "What can Brown do for you?".  The answer is 30 points.  In order for that to happen, the Steelers will have to block people.  You know what the Steelers can't do?  Block people.  Going to be tough for that Steelers offense to get going I think.  But we've all seen Roethlisberger scramble around and make plays.  Hill will need those plays to be bombs to Antonio Brown.
